2nd Place?
Is there going to be a 2nd place winner of the $1000? You mentioned they were narrowing down the logos - is that still going on?

omelmahay on June 26, 2008 said

It's been 24 days...
Did a second selection get picked yet???

Selections Gang- The client does not begin to review the submissions until the RFB is complete. We, as of today have the first creator selected (for the Mascot) and are narrowing down the logos. We'll have a blog post up tomorrow announcing the selected creators for this RFB and several others. So watch our blog!! Thanks! Drew

I was thinking the same thing...
Where do we look to see who won ? I was thinking the same thing : }

cook3791 on May 16, 2008 said

Who won?
I haven't seen any winner announced...

cook3791 on May 6, 2008 said

Updating our Entries?
The way i understood it was that what we sent in was basically a rough sketch and we'd work a lot more with the company who selected us. I'm not sure if thats correct, so if not, can we send in an updated version? I touched mine up and made it a bit neater.

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on May 3, 2008 said

Selections... The selected creator will be contacted directly via email both by GeniusRocket and EIEIO. Once the creator has been notified we will post a blog announcing the selection to the rest of the community. Clients have 30 days to make their selections. Thanks

Who Won?
Just wondering how we know how won this brief and where the winners names will be posted. Thank you!

Ads Submitted Everyone is submitting their mascots via email, the "counter" counts videos submitted to through the site, so it will not be accurate for this RFB.

peona on April 28, 2008 said

zero ads submitted??
i already send my work!!!

goldleaf on April 25, 2008 said

Entires/Placement
I can't find any rules that indicate either way, so can a single person/team be awarded both prizes?

Will our logo and mascot submissions constitute two different entries, or one?

Thanks!

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 25, 2008 said

Feedback... We understand this issue and are working to build in an automatic responder. For now, like with all e-mail, you can assume we have received your submission if the e-mail you send does not bounce back. We check the mail (and junk mail) multiple times a day everyday (including weekends). If mail doesn't return to you as "undeliverable" then we do have it. Thanks

dagobald on April 25, 2008 said

it would be nice..
..to get some feedback if our emails arrived because, if I guess right, we do not have any possibility to check our submissions

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 24, 2008 said

@ NO logo You may submit just a mascot. There are no preferences towards style, just gear it towards children under the age of 7,. No real "don't"s (other than the obvious, nothing vulgar, etc...)

patriciooliver on April 23, 2008 said

NO logo and style
Are we allow to send only a mascot?
Do you have any preferences in the style of mascot you are looking for? Any donts?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 22, 2008 said

@Portuguese Designer Yes, international participation is allowed. There are no resolution requirements, we can open pretty much any format. The client will work with the creator in the end to determine exact format and resolutions. You may animate the mascot, but the client will need a still image for the logo and brand representation as well.

Deadline
Hello, may I know if the deadline is 23/4/08 as shown on a 3rd party website, or is it 6 days from now as shown from the little clock toolbar at the right hand side?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 19, 2008 said

@ How many... Enter as many mascots and logos as you would like...the more the better! Use the address listed in the RFB (which is also listed in answers above). Pretty much any format is acceptable...we'll notify you if we're unable to open it. Thanks!

quiet7 on April 18, 2008 said

How many?
How many entries we can add?
and we must send it to the e-mail that you wrote? and one more, in what kind of format we must send it?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 18, 2008 said

Company/product/brand Background: In the second paragraph of the RFB it states: "The logo/text for EIEIO will need to be colorful and bright as our target audience is toddlers, no older than 6-7. The audience is both girls and boys."

toragurl03 on April 18, 2008 said

Age Group
Is there any indication of what age group they are advertising to?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 18, 2008 said

The company... All the information that is being released at this point is in the RFB above. Thanks

website
Is there a website I can visit to read more about the company?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 9, 2008 said

To start... Develop your character(s) and submit them via e-mail to EIEIO@GeniusRocket.com. EIEIO will select their character(s) at the end of the RFB. Thanks!

euripedesbsilva on April 9, 2008 said

I want to develop it
Let me know how I can start this job. I have many sample to show you so you can choose the style. Please contact me at 415-375-3063 or euripedes@h2o3d.com

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 9, 2008 said

Do not need to upload... You will only submit via email for this campaign, to: EIEIO@GeniusRocket.com Thanks!

h.wolfe on April 9, 2008 said

Video Only?
Can we only upload this as a video?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 8, 2008 said

NO PRECONCEIVED IDEAS Please submit ALL ideas, EIEIO is using that name just to reference how important music will be in everything they produce. Music related mascots would be great, but there are no limitations, other than children under 7 should love them.

chrisc on April 8, 2008 said

Old MacDonald had a farm... EIEIO
As further development will see characters from traditional nursery rhymes and farm animals etc, plus the fact that the brand name appears to come from the rhyme "Old MacDonald has a farm, E-I-E-I-O", does this mean that the mascot should be a farm yard animal? I have some strong ideas, but Im concerned that these may not fit with the EIEIO brand name as they are not farm yard or barn yard animals - please advise.

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 5, 2008 said

Early & Often! Gang- This is an RFB you should submit to EARLY & OFTEN. Early submissions get a chance to receive feedback (if necessary) and since EIEIO is building a "family" of characters by submitting often you stand a chance of helping to build more of that family (if they can't resist buying your characters). So remember...EARLY & OFTEN!!

GeniusRocket (GeniusRocket staff) on April 2, 2008 said

Logo You ARE creating a logo too, and there is flexibility as to whether or not the logo incorporates just the name EIEIO, or the mascot as well. Should it turn out that a logo is chosen separate from a character an agreement will be made between creator and client.

GeniusRocket (GeniusRocket staff) on April 2, 2008 said

Format... The mascot should be an image...but if it can be done in an animation style it will be easier to "put into motion" in the future.

carlhuber on April 2, 2008 said

logo too?
The project is billed as "mascot creation" but starts off with "in addition to a logo" - are we creating a logo for the mascot's name, or a logo for EIEIO in addition to the mascot? So, like, two completely separate projects? (What if they love our logo but not our mascot)

ketchumstudios on April 1, 2008 said

Format
I launched this project and was wondering if it should be an image, or an animation. If it was an animation how so should it be animated (mascot waving, dancing, a story, etc)
