Groups Search for the group using our search feature. New groups have not been formed in this last week of competition, because promotion of your work is AS important as creation and one week isn't sufficient to do both.

School groups
After we send our intent to participate, how can we confirm that a group for the school we're affiliated with has been created on the site?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 22, 2008 said

@School Group You may form that group IF you can campaign on that campus.

School Group
I just need one clarification. I'm going to school this fall but am not currently attending. Can I still make a group for that school?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 22, 2008 said

School Group Sorry about that, it must have been an oversight. Please email again. As for promoting with banner ads, that is part of the challenge to resolve. Be creative! Good Luck!

School group on geniusrocket?
I emailed my intent and the school I'm affiliated with, but I never got an email back about where this group is (web address) or how to find it.

Another question:
How are we supposed to promote genius rocket with banners if we don't have a website?

blu3 on April 4, 2008 said

Ok
Thanks for letting me know. But ummm...why can't I download the logos?

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on April 4, 2008 said

Create both. You should create both banner ads and fliers and use both to promote.

blu3 on April 4, 2008 said

Do we have to...
Create both banners and flyers or either or?

Can't Download Logo
I keep getting sent to a page that tells me that I can't do that. Is there something I'm supposed to do first?

GeniusRocket (the client) on April 1, 2008 said

General Answers Anyone with access to a college campus may participate. We are looking to have this promotion done on college campuses exclusively. You can make any kind of banner ad you would like (the more involved or the better the animation...the better your chances are with our judges). Screenshot of placement just needs to be enough that we can see where you put the ad. You will still send us the actual banner ad and flier to CampusRFB@GeniusRocket.com JPEGs from photoshop would be fine, but we can open photoshop as well. You may choose whatever logo you prefer for your creations. You only need to create one banner ad and one flier, but post them as many places as you can...

It takes me to geniusrocket.com
I don't know what it is. If someone that sees this and can download the file, please email it to me at erictirado1@gmail.com if not a problem.

Guerrilla Campaign Questions
~For the banner would you like to have interactive or just animated?
~How long would you like the banner to be?
~When you say "Screenshots of Banner Ad placement ", do you want just few shots of the banner? or would you like for me to send the Flash saved banner file that you can play?
~If im using Photoshop for Poster/Flyer do you want the files sent to be in JPEG?
~For both of the assigments which logo will you prefer?(Vector Logo or GR Logo Stacked)
~And finallyi only need to have one banner and one flyer/poster right?

Thank you

Creative Elements Standby...we're working on these elements.

GeniusRocket (the client) on March 28, 2008 said

CAMPAIGN EXTENSION! As of yesterday there were 2 groups working with one week to go, so there was no way to have a minimum of 5 submissions complete within a week. (Since promotion of your flyers and banners is a large part of the campaign.)
We now have 16 groups working, so we're extending through April.

Good Luck!

Ad Placement??
Do we need to place our banner on any certain website. Or can we post it on our own websites? Could you please explain? Thank You

can you...
Can you upload the "GeniusRocket" part of the logo as well? And the "Launch Your Creativity" part? That would help me out a lot, Thanks.

College Outreach Campaign We are looking to substantially grow our base of college aged creators and viewers. There are no size requirements on our end, afterall, you'll be the one placing both the banners and the flyers. Your banner ad may be anything you'd like, as long as it promotes the necessary aspects (listed in guidelines). I'll post a vector logo in "Creative Elements" now.

Question
What do you hope to accomplish with your College Outreach Campaign?

Can a vector file of the GeniusRocket logo be sent to me so I can include it in the internet banner, and the poster/flyer? Email me at deceitful_eyez_2040@hotmail.com

Do you have specifications for the size of the online banner ad? Size requirement for the poster/flyer?

Can the online banner adbe animated?

Thank you in advance for answering these questions. :D

Thanks for the quick reply.

drew (GeniusRocket staff) on March 26, 2008 said

Clarification... You can absolutely participate alone. You only need to tell us what university you attend (or will be marketing to) so that we can start a "group" for that university on GeniusRocket. By promoting this group we mean you must encourage people to come to GeniusRocket and join the group that we start for your university. Using your banner ad and flyers you should tell people about GeniusRocket, GR's Facebook page, and, again, your university's group on GR.

A little confused
I am new to this GeniusRocket experience and am a little confused about this project and these guidelines:

"Finally promote your school's "Group" on GeniusRocket.

Participants must:

E-mail GeniusRocket with intent to participate, and with their school affiliation so that a group can be established for their school. "

Does this mean my graphic design class must participate in this project? Can I just participate in this project alone? What do you mean by promote my school's "group" on genius rocket; what does a school "group" consist of? I don't understand what you mean by promoting my school's group on GeniusRocket, can you give an example?

I know I can make a mind-blowing internet banner, and poster/flyer.....but I am so confused by these guidelines, and what exactly I am supposed to be doing!

I really need more information, a more informative "brief" if you will, can you please point me in the right direction.

Thank you for your help,

~Christina
