Flicker account.
I forgot my Flickr account information completely. Is there any other way I would be notified if my work was selected? Or were all 4 of the chosen designers contacted and talked to.

sorry Drew my work is the first one selected and no one contact me. are u using my work and paying some one else?
1 year, 12 months ago
That's correct! AND...we've already notified (last week) the 4 selected creators...we make a point of having communication with the selected creators BEFORE announcing them to the community. As soon as we have heard back from all four we'll make them public...Thanks!

not quite the answer
Drew, Jason here and your answer explained it better than the answer I got from (i take it their intern) your answer makes more sense.
2 years, 1 month ago
@ Not quite the answer... I'm am not sure who Jason spoke with at Diana Warner, but it is absolutely untrue that anyone here has left. Her main contacts, myself included are still here, and have been in regular contact with her. She placed her intern in charge of this process, and they had become non-communicative for quite some time. They re-engaged us last week and, once again, have all of the information necessary to review the submissions. I will contact them again today to find out what the hold up is at this point. Again, I can assure you that their ability to contact their main contacts at GeniusRocket has not, for one moment, lapsed. We have been, and will continue to, diligently work to resolve this. Drew

not quite the answer
I spoke with Diana Warner Studio via e-mail and by phone and they told me that their contact at Genius Rocket had left and they were trying to contact Genius Rocket to see the entries that were submited. Are you kidding me?Now why cant they contact Genius Rocket and if they cant not or will not ,Genius Rocket should step in and award someone when it was their site who we the artist are dealing with. I'm sure people are leaving this site as i type i'm certain once word gets out furture artist will be hesitate to sumit their hard working projects in the future. All we as artist want is feedback for doing a job, we deserve better.

A Little More Than Concerned
4 weeks ago, Drew posted this on Flickr:
" We are still working with Diana Warner on this RFB. This particular RFB was unique from the standpoint that the client wasn't exactly sure how they would use the final design(s)...so they must examine all submissions for potential use across all media formats."
It's been well into 7 weeks since the closing and I have a feeling that despite Diana Warner's busyness, she hasn't chosen one for the reason that none of them met the criteria of what she wanted. I feel that Drew's comment made that quite clear but it was said in a way to let us down easily.
So in all respects of every contestant that has entered, we would like a straight answer if Diana Warner is ignoring the administration as well as it's participants of Genius Rocket for that very reason.

Concerned
Hi, I'm a tad concerned that the results still have not been announced since the deadline was now a long time ago. Has there been any progress here? thanks

hi
any update?
2 years, 2 months ago
@ Diana Warner Busy Her schedule is a major reason for the delay, much of it is also that the clients are allowed time to make their decisions (and many of the questions about the selection began the day the RFB ended.) Going forward we are going to try and keep the selection process to two weeks, but that will depend much on the client's schedule and the number of submissions. (There were MANY submissions to this RFB). Thanks!

Diana Warner Busy - Cause of possible delay?
On the Diana Warner site, the section of News & Events, the entire month of June until mid-July seems rather busy. She has several trunk shows and a bridal selection launch. Not to mention her offices were closed from June 3rd through the 6th.
I hope this explains the delay to all the eager contestants (as well as myself). Right now it seems unclear but all I know is she's preoccupied.
But keep your fingers crossed and good luck!

Graphics or Collateral
I was under the impression that the brief is requesting a graphic more along the logo side rather than a piece of marketing collateral. Most of the submissions look like full advertisements (even those submitted after the Marketing Objective update). Is the objective a fully composed layout or more along the lines of a graphical piece of art that could be added to a marketing piece? Thanks for your help!

Flickr website
will we need to create an account on Flickr's site to submit our entry?
2 years, 3 months ago
To How To Upload
Create Flickr account and/or log into Flickr, Once you have an account it will ask you if you want to upload any pictures. Upload your graphic design.
After it's loaded onto your account, join the Diana Warner Studio group.
Next go to 'Organize', then click 'Groups', drag your uploaded graphic design and drop it into the Diana Warner Studio.
I hope that helps. :)

Email... No email, just add to flickr. You may use the photos uploaded by GeniusRocket, not the photos uploaded by other users. The concept IS the most important part. Thanks!
2 years, 3 months ago
thank you and...
Thank you for your response.
So, if you connect us with the client, am I correct in thinking that it is the concept that is most important as minor edits would be possible?

i havent done this before...are the photos on flickr free for us to use on creating the ad?

email?
is there an email address to submit our completed projects to?
2 years, 3 months ago
Questions Don't worry about size, there are MANY possibilities as to what this will be used for so the size will need to be adjusted based upon what graphic is chosen for what project. We connect the creator to the client, so yes you are protected in that the client does not get the "work" until the creator sends it to them (which can be done after payment).

questions
What was the answer to the size question?
Also, if the client likes an idea, but would want it edited a bit, is there protection for the artists here to prevent the idea from being stolen and developed by someone else for the client? (the lack of response to the "is this real" question is unnerving as a newbie here).

is this real or not
I just wonder wheter awards will be delivered even if you decide not to move forward with any of the artwork or not? Or it is just a free pitching in the name of competition, just like the other contest?
2 years, 4 months ago
dimensions?
Sounds like it's supposed to be sized for a website. Is there an ideal pixel size for the main image (knowing there may be thumbnails made)? Filesize restrictions? The possibility of Flash enhancements?
