Bluestreak Print & Mail needs your help. They need a logo that will convey the combination of speed and quality that just about every print shop claims to have - but few can actually deliver. Their tagline is "Stopwatch Speed, Calendar Quality(tm)" And, it probably should have gone without saying that the color blue will play a significant role in the visual identity.
Bluestreak Print & Mail is located in Old Town Alexandria, VA. But it is currently operating under a different name.
The company's abilities and equipment are listed HERE. Please note that the branding seen on this site is not going to be used in the future.
Please see the creative brief - located here - for details on the marketing objectives.
Awards will be delivered even if we decide not to move forward with any of the logos.

Houston, We have a Question...
Q&A for this creative brief
Do you want the tagline to appear on or around the logo anywhere?
Here is what we would like to see:
1) Logo without any text (if there is a graphic element to the logo.
2) Logo with "Bluestreak Print & Mail" or "Bluestreak" text incorporated to show how the graphic and text work together.
3) (Optional) Presentation of the logo and/or name in combination with the tagline - if you have a particular vision for how they fit together or what font should be used, etc.
You are welcome to incorporate the tagline into the logo if you wish - but it is not a requirement.
When you say 'provide a 'hook' for the grand opening event', do you mean a physical table centerpiece, or something in the way of invitations/posters?
How many different submissions can we make?
Bluestreak is looking for a concept (not a physical thing, necessarily) that is strong/deep enough to support the brand. I think your second example is likely more promising... What sort of theme could it support? There's a difference between hanging up a sign saying "Grand Re-Opening" and hanging one that actually conveys something tangible or compelling about the brand.
Hope this helps.
You're welcome and encouraged to make multiple submissions. There's certainly no limit imposed by Bluestreak.
Where Bluestreak Print & Mail is located(city, state). do you sell on the internet too or you sell local only.
thanks
