Gang- Sorry about the delay, I got this RFB posted early to allow people to begin thinking and will get everything finalized between now and Thursday. (I'm in N.O for the NCAA National Championship.)

The dimensions are 6X9. The author's name is Nanette Van Wyk, and I'm still working to get the Creative Elements up and functioning. The author's pictures are on Green Screen so they should be easy to design around.

How big is the spine of the book?

Width of the spine depends on the number of pages, and paper used.
Is this a paperback or hardcover?
What are the publishers requirements on bleed space?

Gang- The author will be self publishing the book, so at this point work with the information on hand and upon selecting a design they will work with the creator on the final touches necessary to go to print.

You must be signed in, and a member of the group (it's public), then just click pool, there is a link on that page telling you how to upload images. (There is a link under Guidelines showing you how to submit as well).

So i guess there is no limit of how many cover design we can submit and post on flicker right?.. we don't have to launch it in genious rocket lauch button? also.. the spine dimentions hasn't been decided yet so we can make it up for now?

There is absolutely no limit, post away, do not launch on GeniusRocket (only post to Flickr), and yes just guestimate the spine for now, more exact work will be done with the selected entry.

so ... do we make up our own testimonials?

You don't have to make them up, but you could...otherwise you can throw in the typical latin para's to hold the space.

putting up my graphics as jpg. is fine right? ... or is there a specific file type for them to use???

What is the width of the spine? Is there an interior flap? I'm guessing a dieline is out of the question but width of the spine would be nice.

Any news on the chosen one?

Perfect Credit book covers have disappeared from the Flickr group except for 2 people. Any idea why? And what do we do now?

I just looked at the group page and everything is stil there. Maybe you looked it up from an account that is not a group member. In this case only the submissions marked "public" show up...

Everything is visible to admin, many submitters made submissions private. While the decision is taking time it is still being made and we will contact the selected creators and post a blog on selections ASAP. It appears we will have a decision by the end of next week at the latest.

What happens if the client backs out? They seems to be really dragging their feet about picking a winner. Does QR have a contract with them?

I know that this one has taken a VERY long time, and I do apologize. The client is actually testing many of the covers via online polls and focus groups. We are, at this point, applying more pressure to finalize the process. Again, I'm sorry this has been such a long process. As I'm sure many of you know from participation in other RFBs, we work diligently to make things happen in a timely manner.

Is there any update on the contest? It will be a year in January.

If we haven't received a selection from the company by close of business tomorrow we will form a panel here at GeniusRocket to make a selection on Wednesday. We will then cover the award ourselves.
